I just wanted to give a quick feedback about our tour on Mount Kinabalu in March.

It was great over there, our guide Wilfred was also great, friendly and showed us around.

Sleeping at the Pendant hut was also very nice and the team of Mountain Torq was very welcoming and open.

What would have been perfect though is if we could have had the option to go down the other way and not the same way back. We did not know that before so could not ask for it before we booked. It would have been great to have the flexibility walking the other way down and get the lift back to the headquarters and from there back to KK.

That is not a critic, but just an friendly information for other travellers that you might want to give this option to others, as I think that many people only see what is really possible if they are there and not from back home in their country.

We enjoyed it all very much. Thanks again for a very good organisation.

Eddie was very helpful and helped us get a van on the other some of the landslide. He also called our driver to make sure we were ok 90 min into the drive, which we were.
I also spoke to home about our certificates, as we were in a rush when we left the van. He said he would drop them off at our hotel, but we just checked out and he hasn't made it yet. (Is he still stuck behind the landslide?)

In any event, would you mind sending the certificates regular mail to me in Singapore.

“A great, friendly & dependable tour operator !!!”

I spent a long time looking for a reliable, flexible & organised tour operator and found all this and more when I contacted Naturalis (a sister company of ABC)! The communication was great from start to finish!!! We specified our desires & expectations, our budget and the time available to travel & it all came together perfectly. The organisation of the tailor made tour was exceptional, ticking all the boxes within our wish list (many other tour operators were trying to put us off visiting some of the locations we had chosen). The service was very efficient and personal! The communication fast and precise. We were thrilled to have chosen Naturalis and had a magical holiday in Sabah, Borneo!! Thank you so much Naturalis. I would definately use your services again and recommend you to friends.

We had a great emphasis on wildlife and the places we visited offered plenty of this:
Kota Kinabalu - canopy walk in Poring hot springs, Rafflesia flowers and views of Mount Kinabalu, visiting markets and local shops, a great introduction to Sabah
Lankayan island - swimming with turtles, tropical fish, sting rays and coral reef sharks, witnessing turtles lay eggs and seeing the hatchlings being released to sea!
Kinabatangan River - great for proboscis monkeys, pigmy elephants, crocodiles & birds & orangutan in the wild
Sepilok - great resort/hotel & fantastic rehabilitation centre, saw 2 mums with their young feeding at the platform
Tabin - palm plantations versus secondary rainforest, great for bird spotting, seeing mud vulcano & waterfalls, great night drives too!
Danum Valey - primary rainforest offers more than you can imagine, from wild orang utan, elephants, great walks, breathtaking scenery & knowledgeable guides. Swimming in the pool of a waterfall was pretty special!
Kuala Lumpur - urban jungle, mega shopping malls, great craft markets and a superb dinner at Atmosphere 360!!!

Hi Len,

Now that we are back home again in England, I just wanted to thank you very much indeed for sorting out our trip to Sandakan, Sepilok and the Kinabatangan river trip. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything worked out very well and our guide (Ron) through SI Tours was excellent. We are very glad that we got to see more of Sabah than if we had stayed at the Shangri La, nice though it was, as we could have been anywhere! Our only criticism, and one which we gather has been voiced by others, is that the Orangutan Sanctuary was little more than a zoo, so we were very glad to have seen some in the wild on our trip.

We are back in the Netherlands now for 1 week and Marion and I wanted to thank you for the great time we spend on Borneo.

Everything was perfectly organized and we enjoyed every moment. From day 1 we really felt at home!!

By the way did you arranged for us to get the best “villa” at PomPom Island?

“Amazing Sabah Expedition”
