Here's what our friends have to say...

Morning Mr Len.

Just a quick note of thanks for organising my trip last weekend – all arrangements were prefect, no waiting for transport at any point – just what’s needed, especially after a hard day coming down the mountain in the rain!

Many thanks to you and your team for a memorable weekend on Mount Kinabalu!

Kind regards.

Dear Michela!

Back at home since 2 days I want to thank you again for organisation and controlling my tour. As said in the subject it was really outstanding in every respect. I was very surprised to be picked up at KK Terminal 1 and Lamram brought me to Terminal 2. We have a saying in Germany. " that was the dot on the i", when we want to express something was EXCELLENT!!!

Feedback:
The commitment of CPH TRAVEL AGENCIES (S) was very good. My guide was Tony a helpful, well-informed man and cook (he had to cook dinner in the longhous with the Ibans). We spoke already about Scott. A "litlle bit disorganized" , but so kind and so likeable that you cannot be crossed with him. Guide was Richard, very in tune with nature and a skilful man; so to speak: "multi-purpose". There is a good living in Bario, Scott will stay in my mind and I would have liked to stay there a few days longer.

TROPICAL ADVENTURE TOURS & TRAVEL: ok in every respect.

S.I. TOURS Sdn. Bhd.: made a great effort; guide was Aurey; worked his way up from fisherman and peasant; he knew a lot about the country and its people; very helpful and a lot of loving attention

TABIN WILDLIFE HOLIDAYS: couldn´t be better

ACOMMODATION:
Harbour View: hardly to believe that it is "only" a *** stars hotel; can be recommended; Longhouse Lemanak river: kind poeple; mattress on the floor; mosquito-net;
Mega Hotel: very professionell; kind service; well equipped
Ngimat Ayu House: you know it
Homestay Pa Lungan: very clean; good beds; very kind family; Davids wife is a very good cook;
Royal Mulu Resort: kind service; good breakfast and dinner; handsomely equipped rooms
Jesselton Hotel: you know that
Abai Jungle Lodge, Riverside Lodge and Tabin Wildlife Reserve: like Royal Mulu Resort

A very good idea to take hotels in the centre of the towns.

Kindest regards, to your husband as well, Armin

Hi Hasma,

Here are some of the landscape shots i took at Mt. Kinabalu. Again, thank you for assisting me. My visit here at Kota Kinabalu would not have been this memorable if it wasn't for your help. You can check out the album at my Facebook page. (https://www.facebook.com/franz.alayon). If you find some of the shots good, ABCTours can use them to promote its Mt. Kinabalu packages (Just don't forget to acknowledge me, ok? *smiles*).

Best regards,

Hi Michele

On behalf of Cathy, Barbara, Jenny and myself I would just like to thank you so much for all the assistance that you gave us during our tour of Borneo. We really had a lovely holiday and were just so sorry that we did not get to have dinner with you and your husband in that beautiful Hyatt Hotel. We were stuck in a bit of a grotty place where the food was almost inedible.

Everything which you arranged was so lovely and it was just unfortunate that our internal flights were both either cancelled or delayed. The guides were just fabulous. Bennie was always singing and was a really happy person, full of fun and information. Dean from Dannum Valley needs to be highly recommended as he was just super and very informative. Very considerate and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The guide - Sallihin from Kuching was also absolutely delightful. He was always smiling, a fountain of knowledge, and very funny. Even at 4.30 a.m. he was full of fun and could rattle off statistics about the Country as well as answering any question we asked him. He insisted on seeing us right through the Security and walked us right up to the Gate before he gave us a big wave and a smile. What a lovely person he is and comes highly recommended for your future guests. The only guide that we felt did not live up to the standard of the other 3 guides was Glen from River Lodge. He was not very helpful and was not forthcoming with information unless we asked him something.

I can only say thanks again for all the arrangements you made and we would recommend your Company to any of our friends who would want to travel to Borneo. We were just so fortunate to choose your Company as we did not know anything about any of the Agents on the Internet. It was just a stab in the dark and it all worked out so well for us.

Thanks again

Kind Regards

“Pretty good and comprehensive”

I went to Sabah between 17-21 Sep 2013 as I was interested to do the via ferrata Mountaintorq atop the Mt Kinabalu. Overall, was very pleased with the service rendered to me by ABC tours especially Hasma from the company who was very patient, understanding & prompt in responding to me for several times between May to Aug when I was deciding on the trip and the tour itinerary. I told them that I also wanted the white water river rafting which they arranged with Riverbug Asia. Overall, no complaints about this agency and would be pleased to recommend this agency to others.

“Give them a shout and they'll sort you out”

This tour company are one of the best I’ve worked with. I was a little concerned upon arriving at Kuching airport that we might be left stranded. I should have had more faith. Sure enough, the guide was waiting there for us - on time. As was every other driver we dealt with during the tour. At no stage was a driver late and they kept to a pretty strict schedule. Incredibly organised and this set the tone for the rest of the trip. They kindly put together a bespoke package and included everything I asked for. The accommodation was to the standard we were looking at and the tours were as advertised. No unpleasant surprises. I can’t recommend them highly enough and would like to thank Len and the team for all your help in getting the trip organised and booked up. If you can’t find a tour that you’re happy with – then get in touch with them with your interests and ideas – they’ll put something decent together for you.

Hi Len,

No worries – thanks for your assistance with organising everything.

Pick-ups were always on time and guides were great. All went very well!

Really enjoyed Kuching. Just a shame we weren’t able to stay a bit longer.

Hope you had a good break.

Hi Michela,

we just came back from our great vacation on Redang Island! Thank you so much for all your help and advice in organizing the trip, everything went well, the tranfers, the food was good, the hotel was very nice and most of all Redang Island is just a beautiful tropical paradise. You will hear from us soon because now our next dream are the natural wonders of Borneo.

thanks again for everything,

Hi Mr Len

We have a safe and great trip in KK.

The hotel that you have recommended, Gaya Centre is a good location that is very near to eating places. We didn't make use of the extra bed as the twin beds are sufficient for us.

We have enjoyed the Canopy walk despite the heavy downpour.

Next is the Mamutik island that we have also enjoyed swimming n snokeling too.

We do appreciate the tour guides and the drivers during our trip.

And we do also really appreciate of your arrangement n assistance for our trip too.

We will definitely to look upon your office again for our next trip in KK.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Luca,

Sorry for the late reply. It's taken me a while to get back to the swing of things here.

The trip was fantastic. Lots of great memories for both my dad and I. I was very pleased with our communication back and forth prior to the trip as it help iron out a lot of details. It made for a very smooth trip (I guess minus the hotel change in the last day but that has nothing to do with you guys). I have nothing negative to say about my experience with Naturalis.

A few comments I guess for each section of the trip:

Maliau Basin:

- very eye opening and unique experience.

- our guide Augustine was excellent and I would highly recommend him for any future trips (very knowledgeable and a great chef!)

- would have loved to stay at the research centre on the last night (vs the agathis camp) but not a big deal at all

- overall a great experience

Island Hoping:

- was a very good relaxing day, especially after the Maliau Basin

- snorkeling was far superior on the first beach and in hindsight would have spent more time there instead of going to the second island

Mt. Kinabalu

- Glad we finished off with this activity since it was easier and more relaxing than Maliau Basin

- Great experience and fantastic views from the summit.

So overall it was a great trip and organized very well. The scheduling issue actually worked out in our favour since doing the Maliau Basin first was definitely the better course of action. All positive reviews for yourself and Naturalis for a great experience.

Thanks again!
Philip

Sandro.

Hi Hasma,

I would like to thank you very much for your very flexible approach to my travel requests. I was really pleasantly surprised that you could arrange two great tours (rafting on the Padas river and climbing the Mt Kinabalu) on such a short notice. Both tours were of high quality and were a great way to get to know Sabah/Borneo. Hope to be back soon to discover the other parts of the island!

Terima kasih, Robert, the Netherlands

Hi Rose/Michela,

I just wanted to send you an email to pass on my thanks for arranging our trip in Sabah last week. We had an amazing time at Sepilok, Sukau and Tabin, with the opportunity to see and experience a huge variety of wildlife. Our guides were fantastically knowledgeable in relation to the animals we saw and the habitats in which they live which made our experience all the more valuable. Everything ran on time which made everything very easy for us and we always felt very safe and comfortable, important given we were travelling with our six year old daughter.

I would be grateful if you can pass these comments to all who were involved in making our trip so memorable.

Many thanks,

Ashley

Hi Luca,

We're back in Hong Kong after our fantastic trip to Borneo and feeling a bit sad that it had to come to an end!

First of all we'd like to thank you for organising everything for us, every transfer went smoothly and there were no hiccups whatsoever. The accommodation at each location was excellent but Danum stands out as being the most spectacular, so much so that we couldn't resist upgrading to get a river view and the outside bath to cool off in after a long days trekking in the rain forest.

The drivers and guides we met during our stay were all knowledgable and made us feel very welcome although Basri was amazing as always, really understanding our requirements and going that extra mile to make our time on the Kinabatabgan extra special. It was great to meet up with Sabran and Anwar again and they also made our stay special.

We were pleased with the order we completed our journey in as the Kinabatangan offered welcome relief after the humidity and heat of the rain forest and was a slightly less hectic itinerary.

The highlight of the trip however was Danum Valley, staying in such a wonderful place in the middle of a 130 million year old primary rain forest was incredible and is something we're already talking about repeating in the near future.

We really were impressed at every lodge we stayed at and would recommend them to anyone. However, there are a few things we would change in retrospect:

1. Selecting a specialist guide in Danum to suit our needs as we often felt that the emphasis was on jungle trekking rather than on wildlife spotting and photography, there was too much emphasis for us on chasing the big primates and elephants at the expense of learning more about forest wildlife in general. We do appreciate however that we would require a specialist guide for our rather specific needs.

2. We would probably change our final destination to something a bit smaller and more intimate as we found the Rasa Ria to be a very large ex-pat hang out - although this may have been because of the Easter break holidays. But a boutique type hotel would be our choice for future visits.

It really has been an amazing experience and we are definitely going to be back in the near future. We have so many amazing memories from our trip and the photo count runs into the thousands! Also, many thanks for the video link for the Johnsons which we watched earlier this morning, amazing footage given the technology available then, and a great insight into Borneo from the early days.

Many thanks and best wishes,

Ciao Michela!

Dear Michela,

We are back home safe and full of wonderful memories of our trip. I would like to thank you for your efforts organizing this trip. I have to say it was very professional and all the sights were beautiful. We are sure to recommend this trip to our friends and family and would like to go back later as well.

It was only a minor disappointment at Pom Pom Island to see some of the Chinese tourists unawarely destroying coral and other wildlife at sea. It was a huge contrast to all our previous stops! The efforts of nature preservation at Turtle Island and eco-awareness of Borneo Rainforest Lodge compared to the ignorance of some of the Chinese guests at Pom Pom Island. I am a little worried, that if this continues coral and other wildlife, including turtles will disappear from the island soon. I hope there could be something done to avoid this, e.g. education, signs, guards, huge fines, etc…

However, I must admit the location is heavenly and accommodation, service, etc is flawless!

Dear Hasma,

I would like to say a big thank you for the unforgettable experience of climbing Mt Kinabalu and Low's Peak via ferrata with ABC Tours. My guide, Moidin Sompot was very experienced, made allowances for my lack of altitude fitness and took safer routes than were immediately obvious; I felt safe the whole time. I would recommend Moidin as a guide. He was great.
As for via ferrata, Ali was a great guy and very clear at giving instructions. We all felt safe here as well!
If there are any web pages where you would like me to provide a review, eg tripadvisor, then please just let me know and I'll write a great review to let the world know how great you all are! I have enclosed some pics of Moidin, Ali and one of me at the summit,
thanks,
